UKC Tuzla introduces cardiac electrophysiology into routine care

The Invasive Cardiology Clinic is standardising the diagnosis and treatment of complex heart-rhythm disorders within the public health system.

University Clinical Centre Tuzla announced on 5 October 2026 that its Clinic for Invasive Cardiology is introducing electrophysiology procedures into routine practice.

Electrophysiological testing is used to assess the heart's electrical activity and complex rhythm disorders precisely. Depending on the findings and clinical indication, it may form part of planning or delivering interventional treatment for arrhythmias.

The institution says staff training and equipment upgrades preceded the programme and that the service will be provided within the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina's public health system. The announcement does not specify referral or appointment arrangements, which patients should confirm with their cardiologist or UKC Tuzla.
