The meeting covered general paediatrics, paediatric cardiology and neuropaediatrics, with emphasis on recognising higher-risk conditions early.

ASA Hospital Sarajevo reported that its first paediatric symposium was held at the ASA Institute on 26 September 2026, bringing together paediatricians and specialists from related fields from across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The programme covered general paediatrics, paediatric cardiology and neuropaediatrics. Topics included inherited conditions associated with increased childhood cancer risk, immunisation, digestive complaints, cardiac symptoms in young athletes, epilepsy, tuberous sclerosis and autism spectrum conditions.

Particular attention was given to recognising children who may need additional cardiology or other subspecialist assessment. Information from a professional meeting supports clinical practice; parents concerned about a child's symptoms should seek an individual assessment from a paediatrician.
